Nurtury Early Education was proud to have over 25 staff members attend the State House for this year’s Early Education and Care Advocacy Day. This event is an incredible opportunity to visit legislators and advocate for policies that support educators and the children and families we serve.
We are proud to share that one of Nurtury’s Family Child Care Educators, Gloria Velasquez, earned third place at the English for New Bostonians Annual Immigrant Small Business Pitch. Gloria owns and runs Los Ponys Family Child Care in Winthrop, which is part of Nurtury’s Family Child Care (FCC) network through our Chelsea FCC office.

Three of Nurtury’s Family Child Care programs had a unique opportunity to visit Revere City Hall for a Civic Education Day! Early learners asked councillors questions and presented their ideas on what they’d like to see in the city.

On Friday, May 9th, Nurtury welcomed volunteers from Liberty Mutual to our Harvard Street Center in Cambridge to help clean up the garden beds and plant vegetables for our toddler and preschool classrooms to use and learn from.
On April 23rd, Simmons University’s London Center for Community Engagement and Social Justice honored our Nurtury Learning Lab with their Outstanding Community Partner Award. This award recognizes our partnership with Simmons through the Jumpstart program.
