Family Child Cares are in-home based state-licensed programs which benefit families seeking a smaller and more intimate setting for the care of their children. They are a vibrant component of the Early Education field, predominantly owned and operated by women, particularly in Nurtury’s case, women of multicultural backgrounds. Children are introduced to curricula with a strong focus on school readiness which covers the five developmental areas while offering linguistic and cultural diversity.
Family Child Care Educators with Nurtury are backed by a dedicated team, including Admissions Professionals who guide families through enrollment, Quality Specialists focused on curriculum planning and program support, and Family Partners engaged in the monitoring of children’s developmental growth and serving as a connection to the various resources available to them.
With two regional offices in Boston and Chelsea, our administrative team oversees all program operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality care and education for children across our FCC programs
Nurtury’s Family Child Care Network is comprised of over 140 educators who serve more than 750 children from birth to age 5 (up to 13 for after-school programming).
With 2 regional offices covering cities in Metro Boston and the Northshore area, Nurtury provides professional development and support to assist family child care educators in achieving high standards in early education & the growth of their microbusinesses.
If you are interested in becoming an FCC educator with Nurtury, apply today.
Nurtury Early Education is launching a pilot program that will provide workspace and resources to newly licensed FCC educators who have not been able to acquire a space of their own due to the many housing barriers we are currently experiencing. This program will enable more small businesses to join the field and expand family access to child care.
The incubator will also include a Resource Room, offering shared access to tools and training, giving all of Nurtury’s FCC Educators the opportunity to build community while accessing supplies, equipment, and expertise to support their small businesses.
If you are interested in applying for our incubator program, contact mrosado@nurturyboston.org.
