This Fall, Nurtury Early Education’s weekly music sessions with Arts for Learning have returned and are in full swing at our three early learning centers.

Each week, an Arts for Learning instructor comes into each preschool and infant/toddler classrooms to help children engage in music and movement.

The preschool classrooms at our Harvard Street Center in Cambridge have enjoyed learning new songs in addition to performing class-favorites like “The Ants Go Marching,” which gives them an opportunity to practice their counting and act out the lyrics while marching.

Children have loved using rhythm sticks to drum to the beat of songs. These rhythm sticks also double as “antennas” when classrooms need to their instructor for directions. It’s been a great way to make listening fun in the classroom.
